I was tooling around my comics bookmarks on del.icio.us and I poked around Neil Gaiman's blog and found this tasty little jewel.
Why don't I visit his blog more often?

Wanted is decent action movie. It's a horrible comic book movie. But then again it wasn't a good comic. You already learned the important lesson from Fight Club... move along. But if you must... yes Angelina Jolie is HOT.
Get Smart is fun. Not too in-your-face nostalgic.
The Streets' A Grand Don't Come Easy is surprisingly tight. I've been dragging ass to buy it for years. It's an acquired taste.
I have sculpey.
I have sculpting tools.
I have little sheets of foam.
I have a new sketchbook (8" x 24.5"). Interesting shape. I can play with the form more. It does cause a problem when I try to scan. Still trying to figure that one out.
I need to decorate.
I have blank sticker labels
I have a new book on design.
I have graph paper
I'm feeling viral.
George Carlin is the only entertainer who ever pissed me off with his message. I don't remember what the bit was. I just remember that it was anti-church, of course. The reason it pissed me off was because he had taken my logics to the next level and he was berating the crowd because they were stupid for just accepting all this stuff they have been preached all their lives.
Which then takes me to this...
Can a performer make EVERYBODY pissed off, but they still come back for more? I mean as they sit down in their chairs just dig into them. Make them squirm, but make them be entertained and come back for more. Andy Kaufman did it with his alter-ego, but he didn't point the mirror back at the audience. He was just the lightning rod of hate. John Stewart and Lewis Black can make the audience outraged over their stupid decisions and entertainment choices. But by the time they leave the venue. The message is lost.
Hmmm.

I'm over half way to the new place now by the time I actually finish this post I will be driving up into the driveway of my new building. It will be awesome, no trials and tribulations to report I think the cats are a bit traumatized(?) there at the house I will go back and get them later but wow this has been a breeze it's been awesomely a breeze. So fricking easy. Everything's fill into place nicely this morning everything fill into place with packing I don't have any complaints about the move itself. I'm gonna be passing Home Depot there's Home Depot in my neighborhood. The moving truck is right behind me the, I, this is just way too easy I think I forgot something or I've done something wrong. I wow I, I, I'm speechless. So I am pulling into the driveway wasn't that awesome? You actually heard exactly half the drive this time. I couldn't stay on the phone with all the cross country moves that think there was a cross city it was fricking easy. So back at ya kitten.” Auto-Transcribed Voice Post |

It's awesome, I don't know if I'm gonna be able to make through the day of hard core programing and Math stuff but man I'm, I'm definitely too old for a 5 hours show. I don't know if I would make it through a festival, that's just crazy. Yeah I'm going to get some, some coffee's at the Filling stations and then I am off to work because I've got Chirsings(?) dolls music playing in the back of my head and my ears aren't evening hurting. It's awesome I, I, I really got spoiled but they might be times I, I realize because they did their whole show of was their stuff, of course they've even putting a on practical like 12 or 13 CD's so like also that's 20 years so they can just play ___ and play as long as they want and it's all their stuff and Chrising(?) dolls I think they only have, they just release their fourth CD and they just ___ each of those know that's nice yeah but this, this more guts I guess, I was just spoil but then again yeah it was a good show and bye ya'll.” Auto-Transcribed Voice Post |

April 17th The Reverend Horton Heat. I prolly won't be able to get off work to travel to Columbia, but... it's always nice to see them nearby.
April 24th - Kids in the Hall. It's worth $75 just to see Bruce McCullough Live.
May 23rd - They Might Be Giants. This is a no-brainer. New town, Old gloriousness.
I've also been seeing word that Nick Cave is actually doing a show in Melbourne called "In Conversation With Nick Cave" - a live session where Nick chats about his music.
*Crosses fingers and closes eyes tightly* Please come to the States, Please come to the states.
